Mirrored Scroll Pediment Onlay

A broad, perfectly symmetrical flourish that fans out from a small central bud. Two bold C-scrolls rise back-to-back at the middle, each rolling into a tight eye, then two long leaf-tails sweep outward and taper to neat curls at either tip. Between them hangs a little carved pendant — a bell-shaped bud — anchoring the whole composition. It sits low and wide, the kind of horizontal ornament made to be centred above or below something: a cabinet door, a drawer front, a headboard rail, or the frieze over a doorway. Because it is mirrored, it reads as balanced and formal, which makes it a natural fit for period furniture and traditional interiors. Print & CNC notes: • Centre it on your stock and machine outward from the middle bud so both halves stay even; a two-flute ball-nose gives smooth scroll walls. • Hardwoods like maple, walnut or beech hold the sharp curl tips without chipping. • For 3D printing, print flat and face-up; the gentle relief needs no support, and a brim helps bed adhesion on the thin tips. • A stain-and-wipe finish settles into the recesses and makes the raised scrolls stand proud.
