Description

A flourish of carved foliage that turns a plain corner into something worth a second look. This is an ornamental corner onlay in the baroque tradition: mirrored acanthus leaves and C-scrolls fan out from a small central rosette boss, feathery fronds sweeping along two edges to trace a right-angle. Tight volute curls finish each tip, and a long, tapering S-curve trails down one side. The relief is modelled with real depth, so the leaves overlap and cast shadow rather than sitting flat, and the render's pale timber tone shows exactly how it will read once cut in wood. It is designed to nest into the corner of a framed panel and pairs beautifully when mirrored across all four corners. Use it to dress cabinet doors, mirror and picture frames, headboards, door surrounds, blanket chests or any flat face that needs a period touch. CNC notes • Carve from a close-grained hardwood such as oak, beech or walnut, or from dense MDF for painted work. • Rough out with an end mill, then finish with a tapered ballnose to catch the curl detail. • Mirror the toolpath to produce the opposite-hand corner for a matched set. • Leave the flat underside intact as a glue surface, then pin and clamp to the panel before finishing.
