Scrolled Rosette Pediment Onlay

A symmetrical burst of scrollwork crowned by a blooming central rosette. This wide, low-relief onlay runs long and horizontal, with a straight top edge and a curved, dipping lower profile — exactly the silhouette that sits above a cabinet door or beneath a shelf. At its heart is a layered flower medallion ringed by a raised bead; from it, twin C-scrolls spiral outward into open eyes, finished at each end with a lifting acanthus leaf. Cut / print notes • On a CNC router, a tapered ball-nose bit gives the softly rounded relief its glow; add a fine finishing pass to smooth the scroll valleys. • Mind the two pierced openings between the scrolls — leave them as through-cuts for a lace effect, or floor them if you want a solid ground. • For 3D printing, lay it flat with the carved face up and it needs almost no support; a resin print holds the crispest petal detail. • Test the width against your piece first — this style reads best centred, with a whisker of breathing room to each side.
