Repeating Daisy Border Moulding

A ribbon of daisies to run along an edge or frame. This is a straight length of decorative moulding carved with a repeating column of raised daisies — plump eight-petal blooms, each with a domed button centre, marching one after another down a slightly recessed channel with a rounded bead running along one side. It is a relief strip meant to be milled or printed and then applied as trim: think drawer fronts, mirror and picture frames, a headboard edge, or a run of skirting where you want a soft cottage-garden note. The petals are gently rounded rather than sharply undercut, which keeps the pattern readable from across a room and easy to sand and paint. Repeat the tile end-to-end to make a border as long as your project needs. Print / CNC notes • On a CNC router this suits a ball-nose finishing pass over a roughing clear-out; the shallow rounded petals cut cleanly in pine, oak or MDF. • For 3D printing, lay the strip flat on the bed, decoration up — no supports, and layer lines vanish under paint or a wax finish. • Mind the tile seam: line up the daisy spacing where you butt sections so the rhythm stays even. • Scale the width to match your stock; a coat of primer before painting fills the router or print texture for a smooth cast-plaster look.
