Scalloped Furniture Panel With Berry Spray

A broad furniture front with a quiet flat field and a playful scalloped hem. Most of this panel is calm, unadorned surface, two wide horizontal fields divided by shallow grooved rails, which makes the single flourish count all the more: a small carved spray at the bottom centre where a cluster of round berries or grapes nestles between two out-swept leaves, mounted on a gently scalloped, wave-edged apron. This is a component panel rather than standalone art, the front of a bed, a blanket box, a bench, or the base rail of a wardrobe. The plain upper fields are deliberately left open so you can size and repeat them to fit your build, while the decorative apron finishes the bottom edge with a bit of character. Cut and print notes • Designed to be cut or carved flat; the open fields are ideal for a large surfacing bit, with the berry cluster saved for a fine finishing pass. • For CNC, run the scalloped bottom profile as a separate contour cut once the relief is machined. • Printing it instead? Lay it face up at 0.2 mm layers on low infill; it is mostly flat, so it prints fast. • Sand the flat fields thoroughly, since any tool or layer marks show badly on the open surface while the carved spray hides them.
