Acanthus Rosette Drop Appliqué

A vertical drop built around a single blooming rosette. This slim, tapering appliqué runs top to bottom in mirror symmetry: a central round-petalled rosette — a ring of curled petals framing a domed button, with two pierced eyelets either side — anchors the middle, while stylised acanthus leaves stack upward and downward from it and the whole ornament finishes in teardrop finials at each tip. The relief swells highest at the flower and eases toward the ends. It is a vertical accent for the stiles of cabinet doors, bed posts, pilasters, clock cases and mirror uprights — a graceful filler for tall, narrow spaces. CNC / print notes: • Orient the long axis along the grain for strength through the slender finials. • A ball-nose finishing pass of 1–2 mm rounds the petals and scoops the leaf hollows; the two small pierced holes may want a follow-up with a fine bit or a hand drill. • Cut in hardwood for clear-finished work, or MDF/tulipwood for paint. • Prints face-up in resin or FDM with only whisper supports under the highest petal curls; the flat back glues straight on.
