Acanthus Corner Shell Onlay

Flowing acanthus scrolls sweeping around a corner, crowned by a fluted shell. This is a corner onlay in full baroque voice: S-curling acanthus leaves and tight volute scrolls radiate out from a fan-like shell at the inner angle, then taper into elegant C-scrolls along each arm. It is designed to sit in the corner of a frame or panel, following two edges and softening the join with movement and depth. The relief is generous, so the curls throw real shadow and read as hand-carved even at a glance. Use it as an applied ornament on furniture, a mirror or picture frame, a cabinet door, a headboard, or simply as a decorative wall carving in its own right. CNC / carve notes • This is a high-relief carving — rough it out with an end mill, then finish with a fine tapered ball-nose to reach into the scroll curls and undercuts. • Expect several Z passes for the deeper hollows between the leaves. • It mirrors neatly, so cut a left and a right for a matched pair of corners. • Equally printable as a 3D appliqué to glue on; finish with stain, paint or gilding.
