Description

A slender vertical drop that reads like a bouquet caught mid-fall. This is a tall, mirror-symmetric onlay built to run down a narrow surface. It's crowned by a tight cluster of overlapping teardrop petals cradling a central bead, then opens into a pair of outward-curling scroll horns. Below that, twin looping ribbon-loops nest inside layered leaf fans, the composition repeats and inverts toward the base, and it tapers to a final pine-cone-like tuft of stacked petals. Every element is softly rounded with a plump, hand-carved bead-and-leaf feel rather than sharp edges. It's made for dressing the vertical runs furniture-makers always struggle to fill: the stiles of a cabinet or wardrobe door, a pilaster or table leg, a mirror frame edge, or a headboard upright. Mirror it left-and-right for a matched pair on a double door. Print notes: • Cut as a single-face relief; because it's long and thin, secure the stock well and take a light finishing pass with a small ballnose to keep the looped ribbons clean. • Dense hardwood or hard modelling board holds the tapered tip and scroll tips without crumbling. • 3D-printing it flat on its back needs no supports and gives a paint- or glue-ready appliqué. • Glue directly to primed timber, then paint or gild as one with the surrounding piece for a seamless carved-in-place look.
