Wavy-Edge Blank Sign Plaque

A blank slate with a hand-hewn ripple, just waiting for your words. This is a rectangular sign blank whose long top and bottom edges undulate in a soft, wave-like curve, while the short sides stay comparatively upright. The result is a gently pillowed panel that looks like a plank a village signwriter might have shaped by eye. The face is a smooth, subtly domed field wrapped by a slim rounded lip, and every corner is eased so nothing reads as sharp or machine-cold. There is deliberately no lettering or emblem here. The empty field is the feature: it gives you a ready-made canvas for a house name, a workshop or bar sign, a wedding welcome board, or a room number, added later as vinyl, a v-carved inscription, or a separate 3D-lettered overlay. Print notes: • Route or mill it flat on the bed, face up, so the raised field and border lip come off the tool crisply. • Hardwoods such as oak or beech suit the chunky edge; MDF works if you plan to paint. • For a printed version, a wide layer and light sanding of the domed face gives a paintable, sign-ready surface. • Leave the field slightly proud of the rim if you want to sand back a two-tone paint finish for that classic carved-and-gilded look.
