Diamond-Point Square Tile Strip

A ladder of crisp diamond-point squares. This is a vertical moulding strip made of five identical framed tiles stacked in a column. Each tile sits inside a rounded raised border, and within it four faceted pyramids meet at the centre to form a classic diamond-point (or nailhead) motif — sharp ridges running corner to corner so that every square throws a clean X of light and shadow. Repeated down the run, the effect is rhythmic and architectural, equal parts Gothic Revival and Arts-and-Crafts joinery. Use it as a pilaster or stile trim, a vertical accent flanking a cabinet or fireplace, a repeating border you can tile end-to-end, or cut it into single squares for drawer-front studs and rosette blocks. It's the kind of geometric detail that dresses up flat panelling instantly. Cut and print notes: • The faceted pyramids machine cleanly with a V-bit or a small ball-nose; a fine finishing stepover keeps the central ridges razor-sharp. • In wood, orient grain along the strip so the pointed apexes don't crumble; hardwoods hold the crispest edges. • As a 3D print, lay it flat on the back for a support-free run, then repeat and butt-join lengths for longer trim. • A raking light or a dark glaze in the recessed borders exaggerates the pyramids and gives depth to a painted finish.
