This slim horizontal onlay centres on a rounded, daisy-like rosette — a fat central boss ringed by plump, evenly spaced petals — with a graceful C-scroll unfurling to each side. Each scroll rolls into a tight spiral, throws off a small pointed acanthus leaf, then stretches out to a rounded ball terminal at the far tip, so the piece reads as one long, balanced sweep with the flower as its keystone. It's a classic centre-drop for the top rail of a cabinet, a mirror or picture frame, a door head, a headboard or a mantel — anywhere you want a symmetrical accent that's wider than it is tall. Print notes • Run it face-up against its flat back; nothing needs supporting on a router or on FDM. • The rosette petals and the scroll spirals are the focal points — take a fine finishing pass (small ball-nose, tight stepover) so they stay crisp and rounded. • It's long and narrow: on FDM, lay it along the bed's diagonal if it won't fit square, and add a brim to stop the thin ends lifting. • Wipe a tinted wax or glaze into the petal gaps and scroll eyes, then buff the high points back for depth.
