Bracketed Corner Sign Blank

A blank canvas with character — a plain board that already has good bones. Don't mistake the empty face for a lack of design: this is a ready-to-personalise sign or plaque blank, and its charm is all in the edge profile. The horizontal board bows gently inward along the top and bottom in a soft concave sweep and finishes at each corner with a small rounded bracket lobe, so the outline reads like a stretched cartouche or an old ledger card. The broad, flat field is left completely clear, waiting for your own lettering, monogram, house number, address or engraved logo. Use it as a door name-plate, a business or shop sign, a bar or pub board, a memorial or dedication plaque, or a wedding and table sign. Because the surface is untouched, it is the perfect base layer for a two-stage CNC job. Cut notes • Profile-cut the outline first, then run your v-carve or pocketed text as a second toolpath on the flat field. • Break the sharp top edges slightly so the raised border catches paint or gilding cleanly. • Almost any stable stock works — MDF and acrylic for painted signs, oak or walnut for a premium engraved look. • If you paint the recessed lettering, mask and roller the raised face first, then flood the pockets and wipe back.
