Full-Bloom Garden Rose Appliqué

A full-blown garden rose caught at peak bloom. At the heart of this onlay sits a many-layered rose — petals spiralling tightly from a curled bud at the centre out to soft, ruffled outer petals — set between two pairs of smooth, pointed leaves that stretch left and right to fill a long horizontal footprint. It's a romantic, unmistakably floral motif rather than the lattice or mandala its listing suggests, and it lends itself to a headboard crest, a jewellery-box lid, a cabinet door, or a shabby-chic frame.
