Description

A clean, unadorned plaque that hands the styling decision back to you. This is a smooth rounded-rectangle panel whose only flourish lives in the four corners, where each one is pinched inward into a soft cusped notch, giving the otherwise plain field a subtle heraldic silhouette. There is no engraving, no border relief and no pattern across the face; it is deliberately a blank canvas, gently domed so the centre sits slightly proud of the edges. That emptiness is the point. It is a base plate for a house number, a door name, a workshop sign, a trophy backer or an award insert — anything you want to letter, laser, paint or layer a second cut-out onto. Sign-makers and CNC hobbyists use panels exactly like this as the foundation layer of a stacked, two-tone sign. Working notes • Because the surface is flat and open, a light finishing pass with a large flat or bull-nose bit leaves a glassy face that needs minimal sanding. • Ideal in a stable, low-figure stock — birch ply, MDF or poplar — so painted lettering stays sharp. • The cusped corners are the fragile detail; climb-cut the final perimeter pass to avoid tear-out at those inside curves. • Drill keyhole slots or add a rear rebate after machining for hidden wall hanging. • Prime, then vinyl-mask your text before spraying for a crisp two-colour result.
