Baroque C-Scroll Corner Appliqué

A single baroque scroll caught mid-curl, all momentum and leafy flourish. This relief is one continuous acanthus-style ornament: a thick main stem rises from a tight spiral at the lower left, arcs across the top, and breaks into a second smaller volute at the upper right, shedding curled leaf-tips and a teardrop lobe along the way. It is an asymmetric, flowing flourish, the classic C-scroll the eye follows from one curl to the other. Modelled in warm gold for the preview, the surfaces are rounded and gently domed so light rakes across the rolls. It works as a corner or side appliqué: think furniture crestings, mirror and picture frames, headboards, door panels, or a mirrored pair meeting at the centre of a pediment. Cut and print notes • Designed as a raised relief on an implied flat ground: 3D print face-up and flat, with no supports on the ornament side. • CNC: run in hardwood or dense MDF with a ball-nose finishing pass to keep the volute rolls smooth; a small tapered bit reaches the tight inner spiral. • Print or carve a mirror copy for a matching left and right set on symmetrical work. • Gilt cream, gold leaf, or a dark wax wiped back all suit the period styling.
