Description

A length of carved cornice caught mid-flourish. A fat rounded torus rail runs along the top like a rolled pillow, and below it a shallow frieze carries a loose run of scrolls and teardrop buds that wave from one end to the other. The lower lip sweeps in a soft curve, so the whole section reads as a running moulding you can repeat end to end. This is trim — meant to live where wall meets ceiling, over a doorway, along a cabinet cornice, or as the crown of a fireplace surround. Butt several copies together and the scroll pattern flows on without a visible break. Cut / print notes • For CNC this suits a 3-axis relief pass in MDF or poplar if you plan to paint, or a hardwood if you want to stain; confirm the pattern tiles cleanly at the joins before batching a run. • Printing: lay the flat back on the bed so the rounded rail faces up — no supports needed, and layer lines disappear under paint. • The model is a single tileable unit, so array it in your slicer or CAM to fill a longer length. • Caulk the seams after mounting and the repeat becomes invisible.
