Undulating Wave Edge Border Trim

A long decorative strip whose lower edge rises into a single soft swell, like a gentle hill on the horizon. This is a horizontal border or valance-style trim: a flat band, straight along its top, that flows into a smooth undulating profile along the bottom. A raised bead follows the wavy edge, lifting into a low central crest before easing back down on either side. The surface is otherwise clean and unbroken, so all the character sits in that quiet, sweeping curve. Pieces like this run along the underside of shelves, cabinet aprons, window pelmets or signboards, softening a hard edge with a flowing hem. Repeated end to end it tiles into a longer skirt, and it pairs neatly with more ornate corner pieces. Cut notes: • Essentially a profiled edge, so it cuts fast: a single finishing pass along the beaded lip does most of the work. • Mind grain direction along the length so the curved bottom edge stays clean rather than chipping. • Prints flat on its back face with no supports; scale the length to your span and butt-join copies for a continuous run. • Round or lightly sand the front bead before finishing so it catches light evenly along the whole trim.
