Grooved Turned Spindle Blank

A clean turned cylinder, capped and grooved like something fresh off the lathe. Ignore the celtic-panel tags — the model itself is a simple straight cylindrical rod. It has gently domed end caps and two fine incised ring-grooves, one near each end, that bracket a long smooth central shaft. Rendered in glossy gold, it reads exactly like a turned spindle or baluster, though the same shape happily doubles as a bar-style pull handle, a wand or baton core, a dowel, a drumstick blank, or a base peg — any project that needs a tidy round column. Because it's so geometrically clean, it's really a component or blank rather than a finished display piece: drop it into furniture as a handle or stair spindle, use it as an armature in prop-making, or scale it as a stand. Print notes: • For the roundest surface, print it standing upright with a brim, or split it lengthwise down the middle and glue the halves for a seam-free skin. • Vase/spiralise mode is an option if you want it hollow and fast. • Expect to sand and prime the curved surface, then lacquer or paint for that turned-metal or polished-wood look. • On a CNC lathe, the profile turns easily from hardwood — mark the two groove positions and part the ends to match.
