Description

A little throne of curves — a Rococo accent chair carved almost entirely from scrollwork. The star is the tall back: a tapering column of interlocking S- and C-scrolls, beaded borders and a plume of acanthus at the crest, pierced and shaped so it reads as flowing ribbon rather than solid wood. Below sits a plump, gently domed upholstered seat trimmed with a run of bead moulding, carried on four slender cabriole legs that flick outward at the feet. The proportions are tall and slim, almost sculptural — more showpiece than everyday seat. It's aimed at furniture makers and carvers using it as a build reference or a scaled ornamental model, at dollhouse and diorama builders after a fancy period chair, and at collectors who just want an elegant miniature on the shelf. Print / CNC notes • As a print, stand it upright and support the seat underside, the cabriole leg curves and the open piercings in the back; resin holds the beading crisply. • The ornate backrest is the piece to isolate if you want to CNC-carve just the decorative panel in relief. • Print or cut the legs with the grain/print lines running lengthwise so those thin cabriole curves don't snap. • At miniature scale go slow with a fine layer height; at furniture scale, treat the back as a separate carved component and join it to a built seat frame.
