Description
A running band of diamonds pinned by little beads. This is a linear decorative moulding rather than a single motif — a straight trim strip whose face carries a continuous lozenge lattice: elongated diamonds formed by crossing diagonal ribs, with a small raised bead sitting at each crossing point like a stud. Slim fillet lines run along the top and bottom edges to frame the pattern, so cut lengths butt together into an unbroken repeat. It is the kind of trim that dresses a cabinet rail, a picture frame, a door-panel border, a mantel edge or a length of cornice, adding a crisp geometric rhythm to otherwise plain stock. CNC notes • Cut the diagonal channels with a V-bit for sharp valleys, then round the beads and corner nodes with a small ballnose. • Tile the file end to end and match the repeat carefully so the diamonds stay evenly spaced across joins. • Straight-grained hardwood holds the crossing ribs cleanly; softer timber suits a painted finish. • Set your carve depth modestly — a shallow relief reads better on a narrow moulding and preserves strength along the strip.
