Description

Quiet, clean lines with just a whisper of a wave. This is a restrained moulding for makers who want trim without ornament. The face is broad and smooth, and the only gesture is a softly undulating lower lip that dips and rises in a slow, shallow wave — a subtle scalloped shadow line rather than a busy pattern. It is the kind of profile that lets a good timber or a bold paint colour do the talking. Use it as a minimalist cornice, a plinth or base rail, a shelf edge, a valance over a cabinet, or a simple frame moulding in a modern interior where fussy carving would feel out of place. CNC notes: • Mostly flat cutting — a large ball-nose or even a flat endmill clears the broad face quickly; the wavy edge just needs a clean profile pass. • Because the surface is plain, finish quality shows: take a light final pass and sand progressively to avoid visible tool lines. • MDF or poplar is perfect for a sprayed, contemporary finish; oak or ash suits a clear-coated natural look. • Tileable along its length — butt several runs end to end and mitre at corners. Understated and endlessly adaptable, it is the trim you reach for when less is more.
