Softly Waved Cornice Moulding

The face is broad and smooth, and the only gesture is a softly undulating lower lip that dips and rises in a slow, shallow wave — a subtle scalloped shadow line rather than a busy pattern. It is the kind of profile that lets a good timber or a bold paint colour do the talking. Use it as a minimalist cornice, a plinth or base rail, a shelf edge, a valance over a cabinet, or a simple frame moulding in a modern interior where fussy carving would feel out of place.
