Description

A classical lidded urn, dressed handle-to-handle in rose garlands. This is a tall, in-the-round amphora — the trophy-and-mantel kind — with a domed lid crowned by a turned ball finial and two arched handles rising from the shoulder. Between those handles, swagged garlands of roses, daisies and trailing leaves drape gracefully across the neck and body. Beaded bands wrap the collar, a fluted gadroon band circles the lower belly, and the whole vessel steps down onto a turned, spreading foot. It suits a garden or patio ornament, a mantelpiece centrepiece, a trophy body, or a reference model for lathe and carving work. Print / CNC notes • Resin printing captures the fine floral swags and beadwork best; on FDM, consider printing in vertical sections and bonding, then filling the seams. • Support the undersides of the handles and the hanging garlands, which overhang the body. • For CNC, split the piece into a rotational profile (turn the body, neck and foot on a lathe or 4-axis) and separately machined garland reliefs applied afterwards. • Prime and finish with a stone or terracotta spray for a convincing cast-stone or antique-ceramic look; a light wash in the recesses pops the roses. Stately and symmetrical, it earns its place as a standalone display object.
