Tulip Spray Floral Relief Panel

A blooming spray of tulips carved in soft, rounded relief. This CNC floral panel gathers three tulips at different stages — one open flower baring its stamen crown, and several closed buds — rising from a fan of long, blade-like leaves that curl and cross behind them. The modelling is generous and naturalistic: petals swell and overlap, the leaves twist to catch the light, and the composition draws down to a gathered base like a hand-tied bunch. It's an asymmetric, upward-flowing design with plenty of smooth, sand-friendly surface. It makes a lovely centre for a cabinet door, headboard, drawer front or memorial plaque, and stands alone happily as a framed wall piece in pale hardwood or painted. Print notes • This is all flowing curves — finish with a ball-nose bit and a fine stepover so the petals stay glassy-smooth; a small tapered ball-nose clears the tight leaf overlaps. • Run the grain lengthwise up the stems so long leaves don't chip. • Leave the background flat as a pocket, or carve it away for a true raised appliqué to glue on. • Lime, cherry or maple take crisp detail; a wipe of oil pops the petal contours.
