Wide Acanthus Pediment Crest

A wide acanthus crest that sweeps low and symmetrical — a crown for a cabinet or doorway. This is a horizontal decorative onlay in the baroque taste: a central upright plume of curled scrolls rises from a shell-like anchor, then leafy C-scrolls and feathered acanthus leaves fan out to left and right, thinning to graceful curled tips at each end. The silhouette is broad and arching — taller in the middle, tapering low at the wings — exactly the shape you would sit atop something to finish it. Use it as a pediment crest over a cabinet, wardrobe, mirror, or doorway, a centre motif along a mantel or headboard rail, or a bed-frame topper. The flowing, undercut-looking scrolls give a hand-carved impression that lifts flat-pack and bespoke furniture alike. Print / carve notes • CNC-carve in hardwood with a tapered ball-nose finishing bit to round the leaf lobes and scroll eyes. • 3D print flat on the back face, decoration up — no supports, and the fine scroll tips stay intact. • Mirror-symmetric, so it centres easily; measure your span and scale the width to fit before cutting. • Prime and gild, whitewash, or wax over a stain to sink colour into the recesses and highlight the ridges.
