Description

A tall panel of pure Baroque flourish, ready for the router. Framed by a slender border with softly cusped corners, the composition runs as a single vertical column of symmetrical scrollwork. A crisp rosette flower anchors the middle, flanked by mirrored C-scrolls and heart-shaped volutes; above and below it, stylised tulip buds, acanthus fronds and a crowning fleur-de-lis spray taper the design to graceful points at top and bottom. Every element is balanced left-to-right, so the pattern feels formal and architectural rather than busy. This is a relief model built for CNC carving — a decorative insert for a cabinet door, headboard, wardrobe front, fireplace surround or a framed wall plaque. Cut it in oak, walnut, ash or a dense MDF and it drops straight into panelled joinery or stands alone as ornament. CNC notes • Rough with a ball-nose, then finish with a fine tapered ball (1–2mm) to pull out the tight scroll tips and the centre of the rosette. • Orient the grain vertically along the long axis to reduce chip-out on the slender fronds. • Leave the border proud and pocket the field slightly if you want the ornament to read as raised relief. • Sand the high points lightly and the recesses barely at all — a dark stain or gilt wax in the hollows makes the detail pop. • Also prints on a resin printer for smaller appliqués if you scale it down.
