Winged Horned Dragon Sculpture

A horned dragon hunched and ready, wings half-furled and tail lashing. Forget flat panels - this is a fully sculpted dragon in the round. It crouches low on a membranous wing and clawed limb, a second great bat-wing raised and spread behind it, ribbed and thin along the trailing edge. The body is armoured in overlapping scales, a ridge of spines runs the spine to a long, whip-like tail, and a broad horned head with a jutting jaw hunkers down at the front. The pose is tense and predatory, caught mid-snarl. This is a centrepiece for tabletop gamers, dragon collectors and fantasy fans - a boss monster for RPG encounters, a painted display statue, or a gift for anyone who likes their mythical beasts with real menace. Print notes • Resin gives the crispest scales and wing membranes, but this also prints well on FDM at a larger scale. • The outstretched wings and tail need supports; orient with the belly angled down so support scars land on hidden underside faces. • Consider printing the wings separately if your printer is small, then pinning them - cleaner results and easier support removal. • Prime dark, then zenithal highlight; glaze the wing membranes with a translucent red or amber so light seems to glow through them.
