Winged Dragon Tabletop Miniature

Wings flared, head low, a dragon caught mid-challenge. This tabletop-scale beast stands foursquare on a round base with its great membranous wings thrown wide, each strut ending in a hooked claw. A horned, spike-jawed skull dips forward on a serpentine neck, ridged spines run the length of the back and tail, and splayed talons grip the ground as though about to lunge. It is built for the gaming table: drop it in as a mid-fight boss, a lair guardian or a hoard-sitting menace, or paint it up as a display centrepiece. The clean, faceted planes take drybrushing and scale-highlighting especially well. Print notes • Resin is the pick here; it holds the wing membranes, teeth and toe claws far better than filament. • Print the wings supported from beneath at a slight tilt, and add vent holes to break suction on the broad membranes. • The moulded round base keeps it stable; swap to your own system if you rank it beside a unit. • Scales cleanly from 28-32mm skirmish size up to a chunky shelf model. • Prime grey, drybrush the raised scales, then glaze the wing webbing for a translucent, leathery look.
