Wings-Spread Roaring Dragon Sculpt

Wings flung wide, a dragon rears mid-roar. Forget the celtic-inlay tags — this file is a full sculpted dragon, caught in a dramatic four-limbed crouch with both membranous wings thrown open. The near wing sweeps up and back to a hooked talon, the far wing arcs overhead, and the leathery membranes are creased and tattered at the trailing edges for a battle-worn look. A ridge of jagged spines runs from the horned, snarling head down the arched neck and along a long whipping tail. The body is armoured in fine reptilian scales, the belly plated, and the forelimbs end in splayed, gripping claws. It is a brilliant centrepiece for D&D and fantasy wargaming, a boss monster for the tabletop, or simply a display sculpt for anyone who loves dragons. Print notes: • Resin is strongly recommended to capture the scale texture, spines and thin wing membranes; FDM can work at larger scales with fine layers. • Orient with the wings angled to the plate and support their undersides generously — the thin membranes are the main failure point, so use a dense support raft there. • Support the jaw, the outstretched claws and the tail tip; consider cutting the wings or tail at natural seams for easier printing and shipping. • Print hollow with drain holes to save resin on larger scales, and prime before painting to reveal the crisp scale detail.
