Hatching Baby Dragon Egg Planter

Just hatched, and already adorable. This model is a chubby baby dragon breaking out of its egg — a rounded, wide-eyed hatchling with a soft snout, little curved horns and stubby ear-frills, its scaled belly and folded arms resting on the cracked, jagged rim of the shell. Two proportionally huge webbed wings fan up and out behind it, and one tiny clawed hand grips the broken egg edge. The lower shell is dimpled with a pebbly, warty texture, and the whole thing has a cute, cartoonish charm rather than a fearsome one. That hollow, open egg makes it wonderfully versatile: leave the top open and it's a succulent planter, a desk pot for pens and clips, a trinket dish or an air-plant holder. Sealed, it's simply a sweet dragon figurine for a shelf, a fantasy-lover's gift, or a nursery ornament. As a print, resin captures the fine scale and wing-membrane detail best, though FDM at 0.12–0.16mm layers handles the smooth body nicely at planter scale. Orient it upright; the outstretched wings and the overhanging chin will want light tree supports, and printing the wings slightly splayed helps them clear. If you intend to use it as a planter, thicken the egg walls, add a drainage hole and seal the interior. For CNC, treat it as an in-the-round carving on a 4-axis rig, or reinterpret the front as a relief. Prime and drybrush the scales, then pick out the eyes to give the little one some life.
