Winged Dragon Perched Figure

A lean, bat-winged dragon caught mid-rear, wings thrown high. Despite the workshop tags, this file is a fully modelled creature sculpture. A sinuous serpentine neck arcs up to a narrow, snarling head lined with small teeth, the jaw parted as if it has just caught a scent. The forelimbs reach forward with long curved talons, the muscular hind legs plant it in a rearing stance, and a whip-thin tail sweeps back and curls into a lazy S behind the body. Above it all, two great membranous wings open tall and wide, the leathery skin stretched taut between the finger-struts. It is built for display: a shelf or desk centrepiece, a fantasy or RPG table showpiece, a gift for anyone who collects dragons. The dynamic pose makes it read from across a room. Print notes • Resin (SLA/DLP) will capture the teeth, claws and wing membranes far better than FDM at this scale. • Orient the body leaning back and support the wings, jaw and outstretched claws generously; the wing undersides are the most support-hungry area. • Consider printing the wings and/or tail separately and keying them in — it cuts the support forest and reduces cleanup scarring on the membranes. • Sand the wing skin lightly and prime before painting; a translucent wash over the membranes sells the leathery look. Hollow it for a lighter, resin-saving print and add a base for stability.
