Armoured Sentinel Dragon Miniature

A young dragon sits sentinel, wings furled and armour buckled tight. This miniature shows a wyvern-like dragon perched on its haunches, chest out and chin lifted, wearing segmented plate armour over its scales — layered belly plates, a studded shoulder guard and greaves strapped down the forelegs. A crown of swept-back horns frames a beaked, hard-eyed head, and one broad membranous wing rises behind it like a sail. It stands on a textured oval base ringed with jagged bony spikes, giving it a real "guarding the hoard" presence. Despite the routing label, this is unmistakably a tabletop miniature sculpt. It drops straight into a fantasy RPG or skirmish game as a guardian, a knight's mount or a young drake boss, and it makes a rewarding paint-up project for collectors of dragon figures. Print notes • Resin (SLA/DLP) is strongly recommended — the scale texture, horn tips and armour straps need resolution that FDM struggles to hold. • Print at a slight backward tilt so supports land on the wing's back face and the rear of the base, keeping the face and chest clean. • The single tall wing is the main overhang; give it a light support lattice and a raft to resist peel forces. • Standard 32mm heroic scale suits most game systems; scale up for a display centrepiece and hollow the body to save resin, adding drain holes beneath the base.
