Description

Meet Scales — a pint-sized dragon with a goofy grin who owns his own nameplate. Despite the CNC label, this is unmistakably a chibi cartoon dragon figurine, and a wholesome one at that. He stands upright on a round log-slice base stamped with the name "Scales" in a hand-lettered font. Everything about him is dialled for cuteness: two enormous round eyes, a wide toothy underbite of a smile, floppy little ear-frills either side of the head, and a pair of membranous bat-style wings spread out to show off dotted spots along the leading edge. His rounded pot-belly carries chevron scale ridges down the chest, and he balances on stubby three-toed feet. There is real character here — equal parts dopey and endearing. He makes a brilliant desk companion, shelf mascot or gift for a tabletop-RPG friend, and the built-in name plinth means he displays finished straight off the printer. Print notes: • Resin (SLA) is the sweet spot for the eyes, teeth and the raised base lettering; FDM works well if you scale him up. • The outstretched wings need light supports underneath; the flat log base prints without any. • Print the base and body as-is for a one-piece display, or slice the wings off in your software to reduce support scarring if you prefer. • Prime and hand-paint for maximum charm — cream belly, a bright wing membrane and dark eyes bring him to life.
