Description

Wings flung wide, body arched skyward — a dragon frozen at the top of its leap. This is a fully sculpted wyvern figure in a dramatic rearing pose, balanced on its haunches with the torso twisting upward and vast bat-like wings spread to their full span. The anatomy is sinewy and lean: taut musculature down the flanks, clawed limbs, a ridged spine and a horned, snarling head turned slightly to the side. The long tail sweeps down and back to anchor the composition, and the wing membranes are stretched thin between finger-like struts for a convincing sense of flight. It is aimed at fantasy collectors, miniature painters and tabletop RPG players wanting a boss-scale centrepiece, as well as anyone building a shelf of mythical creatures. Print notes • Resin is the way to go here — it captures the scales, claws and wing veining that FDM would blur • Expect a support-heavy job: the outstretched wings, raised chin and floating tail all need scaffolding, so orient wings vertical and add plenty of light supports on the underside • Hollow the torso and add drain holes to save resin and reduce cupping • Wing membranes are deliberately thin; check them after cure and reinforce with a dab of resin if any flex remains
