Chinese Dragon Pedestal Statue

A classic Eastern dragon coiling across its own plinth. The sculpture shows a long, serpentine Chinese dragon — flowing mane, whiskered snout, antler-like horns and a fully scaled body — arching in a bold S-curve with clawed feet planted on a stepped, dentil-edged pedestal. One forefoot cradles a round flaming pearl, the traditional emblem of wisdom and power, while the spinal frill and scale-by-scale detail are cut deep for a hand-carved look. A commanding piece for a mantel, an altar or feng-shui display, a Lunar New Year centrepiece, or a collector's shelf. Carve / print notes • The undulating body throws overhangs — orient so the head and tail arcs are supported, or print the dragon and pedestal separately and join. • Resin captures the scale detail best; on FDM use a fine nozzle and take any annealing slowly. • For a CNC relief version, a steep-and-shallow finishing strategy with a tapered ball-nose reaches into the scale valleys. • Scale to roughly 150–250 mm long; a bronze or jade-effect finish suits the subject and helps hide layer lines.
