Dragon Brood Fantasy Chess Set

An entire brood of dragons, marshalled across sixty-four squares. This is a full fantasy chess set where every piece is a dragon at a different stage of life, rendered in warm cream with a matte, stone-like finish. The pawns are the charmers: cracked-open dragon eggs, shell splitting along jagged fault lines, with a slender newborn serpent-dragon uncoiling from each one atop a stepped round base. Climb the ranks and the sculpts turn fierce — tall, sinuous adult dragons with long reptilian necks and characterful heads, one crowned with straight antler-like spikes, another with heavy swept-back horns and a ridged spine running down its back. The lower, broader pieces are all scale texture and clenched menace. It is a set for tabletop fans, D&D players and anyone who would rather field wyrms than bishops — equally happy as a playable board or a display-shelf centrepiece. Print notes • Resin (SLA/DLP) is the sweet spot for the thin horns, egg-shell cracks and coiled hatchlings. • FDM at 0.12 mm is doable; add supports under horns, jaws and overhanging tails. • Print each piece separately, eggs and bodies oriented upright on their bases. • Scale to roughly a 50–55 mm king to suit a standard board, and use a light and a dark material (or paint) for the two sides.
