Temple Guardian Beast Wall Relief

A guardian beast frozen mid-snarl, carved for the wall. This relief is the face of a mythical temple guardian — somewhere between a lion, a dragon and a foo dog. Two round, bulging eyes sit under thick flame-shaped brows, a broad flat snout with curled nostrils fills the centre, and a pair of downward tusks frame a set of blunt teeth below. Whisker scrolls and feathered tufts fan out symmetrically to either side, while small rounded ears or horn-buds cap the top. The carving is bilaterally symmetric and stacked in clear depth layers, so it holds shadow beautifully under raking light. It suits anyone making a bold feature panel: a front-door plaque, a fireplace or headboard centrepiece, a cabinet or gate medallion, or an Asian-inspired décor accent.
