Description

Wings flung wide and jaws bared, this crouching wyvern reads pure gothic menace. The sculpt shows a bat-winged reptilian beast facing head-on: two great membranous wings sweep up and outward from the shoulders, a horned, ridged skull juts forward over a maw full of teeth, and four clawed limbs plant it low to the ground like a predator ready to spring. The musculature is blocky and bold, catching light cleanly across the wing membranes and haunches. Whatever the listing code says, this is a display-and-tabletop creature, not a flat panel. It works as a gothic gargoyle statue for a mantel or gatepost, a boss monster or terrain sentinel for fantasy skirmish games, a menacing bookend, or a painter's centrepiece. Scaled down it slots into a dungeon board; scaled up it guards a shelf. Print guidance: • The spread wings are the challenge — either print with generous supports beneath each membrane and the jaw, or split the wings at the shoulder to print flat and glue afterwards. • Resin brings out the teeth, claws and horn crest; FDM is fine for a larger statue with a slightly softened surface. • A wide, low stance means a stable footprint, but add a base or brim so the outstretched claws don't lift. • Its chunky planes also suit carving as a solid statue on a 4th-axis rotary setup. Prime dark, then dry-brush stone or scale tones and glaze the eyes.
