Description

Wings flung wide, claws spread, a low-poly dragon frozen in a heraldic pose. Don't let the code name fool you: the model is a faceted, standing wyvern-style dragon. It rears upright on two clawed hind legs with a stubby curled tail for balance, arms outstretched, and two large membranous bat-wings sweeping up and back. The whole figure is built from clean, chunky polygons, that deliberate low-poly language of flat planes and hard edges, giving it a stylised, almost origami-carved character rather than fine scaly detail. That blocky aesthetic makes it a versatile print. Run it small as a painted tabletop monster or RPG boss, print it mid-size as a shelf ornament or bookend companion, or scale it up as a bold statement piece for a games room. The angular surfaces take drybrushing extremely well, catching paint on every ridge. Print notes: • The outstretched wings and arms are classic overhang territory, generate tree supports under the wing undersides and clawed hands, or print in a T-pose orientation to minimise them. • Resin gives the sharpest facet edges; FDM at 0.12mm still reads cleanly thanks to the flat planes. • A wider base or a small scenic plinth adds stability given the spread-wing top weight. • Metallic base coat plus a heavy wash sinks into the recesses and pops the polygon edges. Equally at home menacing a dungeon table or guarding a bookshelf.
