Low-Poly Dragon With Spread Wings

Wings thrown wide, caught in the instant before the downbeat. This is a faceted, low-polygon dragon shown head-on, its membranous wings stretched almost the full width of the frame and its horned head tucked forward between them. The sculpt leans into the crisp, angular language of low-poly art — every plane of the wing webbing, the ridged neck and the taloned hind legs reads as a clean flat facet rather than smooth organic detail, which gives the beast a graphic, almost origami-like presence. Print notes • Those long, thin wings are the whole challenge: print the body upright with wings supported, or split at the shoulder and glue for a cleaner span. • Low-poly geometry hides layer lines well, so a 0.2 mm layer height in PLA gives a sharp result with minimal fuss. • Scale it small as a token or large as a statement piece — the flat facets stay legible at almost any size. • A matte primer plus a metallic or stone drybrush flatters the angular surfaces and picks out every plane.
