Winged Dragon In Flight

Wings thrown wide, tail streaming behind — a dragon caught mid-glide. Seen from above, this model spreads a pair of broad membrane wings from a slender serpentine body, the ribbed wing-fingers fanning out to scalloped trailing edges while a long whip-thin tail counterbalances the small horned head at the front. It is rendered in a faceted, low-poly style that keeps the silhouette bold and reads well from right across a room. Despite the routing code on the file, the shape is pure fantasy decor: mount it as a wall silhouette over a doorway, lay it flat as a table centrepiece, or use it as a dramatic topper for a games room, a child's bedroom or a maker's display shelf. Cut / print notes • The outstretched wings are thin and wide — support them well if 3D printing (lay flat, wings to the bed), or leave generous holding tabs when routing so they do not chatter loose. • For a CNC relief, a ball-nose finishing pass brings out the faceted wing panels; in flat 2.5D you can cut it as a pierced silhouette and back-light it. • Scale drives the material: a small desk piece in hardwood or resin, or large wall art in MDF or foam-core with a painted metallic finish. • Sand the leading edges smooth and pick out the wing struts with a darker wash for depth.
