Description

Half performer, half predator — and clearly enjoying the attention. Here is a horned bard caught mid-song: a female tiefling (or satyr) with a spiralling ram's horn curling back from her temple and long hair spilling over one shoulder. She cradles a rounded lute against her body, fingers poised on the strings and the neck angled up past her face, mouth set in a small, knowing smile. Her outfit reads as a travelling minstrel's — an open bodice, a soft draped wrap over the arms, fitted breeches cuffed at the knee, and tall heeled boots — with a slender tail flicking out behind her for balance. She poses on a plain oval base. She is an ideal player character or NPC for fantasy RPGs: the tavern entertainer, the silver-tongued diplomat, the party's face — and equally at home painted in a display cabinet. Print notes: • Resin gives the cleanest result on the horns, the lute strings and her fingers; FDM works well at larger scale with a fine nozzle. • Add supports under the lute body, the arm wrap and the trailing tail; orient her upright and slightly tilted to protect the face. • Sculpted at 32mm heroic scale but enlarges nicely to a 120mm-plus collector figure. • The instrument can be cut off, pinned and glued as a separate part if you want to paint it independently before assembly.
