Gaping Croc-Maw Beast Miniature

A hulking swamp brute that is mostly mouth. This creature figure is dominated by an enormous crocodilian maw that gapes open across its entire chest, lined top and bottom with rows of jagged conical teeth. Above the jaws sits a low, knobbly skull crowned with bony scutes; below, a surprisingly muscular pair of legs braces in a wide, aggressive stance. Stubby arms end in splayed, clawed, webbed hands, and the whole warty, pebbled hide reads as thick reptilian leather. It is equal parts alligator, toad and nightmare — a proper 'devours-the-party' monster. It is built for tabletop role-play and fantasy wargaming: a swamp or sewer boss, a summoned horror, or a centrepiece display creature for painters who love texture. Print notes • Resin prints capture the scales, teeth and skin bumps far better than FDM at this level of detail. • Support the underside of the open jaw, the outstretched arms and between the legs; a slight back-tilt keeps the face clean. • Print at 28–32 mm for tabletop use, or scale it up past 100 mm as a display centrepiece. • Hollow the torso with drain holes to save resin on larger prints, then prime grey and glaze the maw in wet, dark reds so the teeth stand out.
