Ram-Horned Seated Nude Figure

A horned figure perched on a rock, one hand open to the sky as if catching something unseen. This statue depicts a nude young woman crowned with two large, spiralling ram's horns, her hair cut in a straight fringe and falling long behind her. She sits on a rounded boulder with one leg crossed elegantly over the other, one arm drawn across her body while the opposite hand lifts, palm upturned, in a soft, questioning gesture. Her face tilts up and away. A small spiralled shell rests at the foot of the rock, hinting at a mythic faun-or-nymph theme.
