Horned Oni Demon With Kanabo

A round-bellied oni straight out of Japanese folklore, club in hand. The figure is a classic oni — a horned demon — standing square and grinning. Two curved horns rise from a wild, browed head, the mouth splits into a fanged grimace above a tuft of chin-beard, and the ears taper to points. His build is comically stout: a broad chest over a heavy, rounded belly, with a simple loincloth knotted at the front in a big bow. In one hand he grips a kanabo, the spiked iron war-club of oni legend, its studded length resting butt-down on the ground beside bare, splayed feet. It is a fun piece for tabletop encounters, a folklore or yokai display shelf, or a bit of characterful Halloween decor. The clear silhouette and bold features make it read well even at small sizes. Print notes • Resin captures the fangs, horn tips and club studs cleanly; FDM works if you paint, though expect softer teeth. • Stand it on the feet and club base — that tripod is stable and cuts supports down to the belly overhang and under the arms. • Scale down for 28 to 32mm gaming or up for a shelf statue, and hollow the belly on larger resin prints. • Prime grey, then a red or blue-grey skin with washed recesses brings the menace out.
