Winged Bone Demon Warrior

A gaunt bone-demon rears up on its base, blade-edged wings slashing toward the ceiling. Despite the routing label, this is unmistakably a tabletop monster miniature. An emaciated, skeletal fiend stands on a round display base, its skull-like head crowned with jagged spines above a snarling, fanged maw and hollow glaring eyes. Two enormous straight wings -- more like paired blades than feathered pinions -- sweep up behind it in a wide V, while a segmented spine or tail rises over its head. Spindly limbs end in long hooked talons, giving it a lean, predatory menace. It is built to be an encounter centrepiece: a boss or elite for fantasy RPG and skirmish games, or a striking painted display model for a shelf of the strange and undead. Print notes: • Fine detail throughout -- resin is strongly recommended over FDM. • Print the wings and body split, or heavily support the wing spans, outstretched claws and the underside of the jaw; the round base is integral. • At roughly 32 mm scale the talon tips are delicate; thicken them slightly if you must run filament. • Prime dark, drybrush bone and ivory up the ridges, then wash the recesses with a brown or green sepia to sink the shadows.
