Description

A dramatic figurative wall relief of a reclining winged woman. This carving depicts a nude female figure posed against a tall rectangular panel, one arm raised across her brow and knees drawn up, with large feathered wings sweeping out behind her and crossed staves or beams framing the top and bottom of the plaque. It is a sculptural, art-nouveau-flavoured bas-relief rather than a geometric pattern. The modelling favours long flowing lines: the streaming hair and layered wing feathers give plenty of directional depth, while the body is rendered in soft, rounded relief that catches raking light beautifully. It is designed as a single-sided panel to be carved into wood (or 3D printed) and mounted as fine-art wall decor for a studio, den or collector's display. Please note: this piece contains artistic nudity and is intended for adult decorative use. CNC / print notes • On a CNC router, rough with a large ballnose then finish with a fine tapered ball bit to hold the feather and facial detail; a hardwood like walnut or maple takes the flowing forms well. • Watch the model depth map at the deepest wing undercuts so the finishing pass does not leave ridges. • For 3D printing, run it as a flat relief plaque and expect to sand the low-poly facets on the legs before finishing. • Seal and wax, or paint and antique, to lift the raised anatomy away from the background.
