Cloaked Dwarf Crossbowman

A grizzled dwarf ranger, hooded against the cold and levelling a heavy weapon across his chest. Under a deep cowl sits a weathered, wide-nosed face buried in a long, wind-combed beard; his eyes are set and grim. He's dressed for the road in a hooded cloak over padded clothing, a slung satchel and belt pouches bumping at his hip, and oversized rounded boots planted for a steady stance. Both fists wrap a bulky, mechanical crossbow-rifle — a broad stock, thick barrel housing and a trigger assembly rendered in chunky fantasy-workshop style. He's made for tabletop wargames and RPG parties, especially dwarven or steampunk-leaning warbands, and reads equally well as a painted display miniature. The strong silhouette and deep folds make him rewarding to shade and drybrush. Print notes • Resin captures the beard strands, hood weave and weapon mechanism best; 32 mm heroic scale drops straight into most game systems. • Support the weapon's underside, the hood's front lip and the trigger hand — the tucked areas need care to avoid scarring. • Orient tilted slightly back so the face and beard sit clear of heavy supports. • On FDM, use 0.08–0.12 mm layers; hollowing is unnecessary at mini scale, but hand-clean the recesses before priming.
