Braided Dwarf Axe Warrior

A pint-sized powerhouse with a beard you could climb and an axe he clearly enjoys using. Forget the filing code — this is a stylised fantasy dwarf, all barrel chest and stumpy legs, planted in a wide battle stance. A stiff mohawk-topknot rises from his otherwise bald head, and a magnificent braided beard cascades to his belt, weighted with three faceted gem beads and cord-wrapped plaits. One gauntleted fist is cocked back ready to swing; the other hoists a broad single-bitted battle axe with an engraved cheek. Heavy boots and a studded loin-guard finish the look. The whole sculpt leans cartoonish and heroic rather than grimdark — chunky forms that read well even at small scale. He's built for the tabletop: a hero or berserker for fantasy skirmish games and RPG parties, or simply a characterful painted miniature for the display cabinet. Print notes • Resin printing suits the braid texture and gem facets; 0.03–0.05 mm layers keep the beard weave sharp. • Orient tilted back so supports catch the axe underside, the back and the boot soles, sparing the face and beard front. • The raised fist and jutting axe are the fragile points — add a couple of manual supports to the haft to stop droop. • Prime, wash the beard braids to deepen the grooves, then dry-brush metals on the axe head and gem beads for instant pop.
