Crate-Bearing Dwarf Porter Miniature

A broad-shouldered dwarf, crate hoisted, trudging in from the market road. The code in the title hints at CNC work, but the model is unmistakably a character miniature. A stocky, hooded dwarf braces a slatted wooden crate across one shoulder with a bulging arm, his other fist planted on his hip. A magnificent forked beard spills down over a belted tunic, and he plants his heavy boots on a plain round base with a wedge of rock behind one heel. Every element — the wood grain of the crate, the rope of the beard, the cinch of the belt — is sculpted for paint to catch. He is a perfect non-combatant for a fantasy tabletop: a porter, trader, dockhand or dungeon supplier who brings a town scene to life. He also stands happily on his own as a painted collectible for dwarf-army fans. Print notes • Resin/SLA best captures the beard strands and crate planking; FDM works at 32mm+ with a 0.2mm or finer layer height. • Support the underside of the crate, the raised elbow and the beard overhang — the crate lid is the main bridge to watch. • Print at a slight lean so the face and beard stay support-free, then clean the base edge flat. • Common heroic scales (28-32mm) drop him straight into an existing warband; scale up for a mantelpiece piece.
