Pondering Old Dwarf Bust

A grumpy old dwarf caught mid-thought. Despite the routing label, the image is a full character bust: a stout bearded fellow leaning forward on his crossed forearms over a rocky ledge, one gnarled finger crooked up toward his mouth as if weighing a secret. The sculpt is rich in detail, a bulbous nose, heavy scowling brows, deep-set eyes and a long combed beard flowing in carved strands down his chest, all under a hooded cowl. The stony, matte render shows off the fine hair and skin texture beautifully. He belongs on a shelf, a games-master screen or a fantasy diorama, and works as a standalone bust or as a companion to tavern and mountain-hold scenes. The pinched, knowing expression gives him real personality for a display piece. Print notes: • Resin printing is the sweet spot here to capture the beard strands, wrinkles and eye detail; FDM will need very fine layers and still soften the face. • Print angled with supports under the ledge and forearms, keeping the face oriented away from support scarring. • The undercut where the hand meets the beard needs careful support placement; check it before slicing. • Prime and drybrush to make the deep beard and brow grooves pop; a warm stone or bronze scheme suits him. If you genuinely want it as a CNC relief, the front-facing pose could be flattened, but as supplied it is a fully three-dimensional bust.
